ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,461,035, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to Arizona Board of Regents on behalf of Arizona State University (Scottsdale, Ariz.).
"Raman spectroscopy system for extreme conditions" was invented by Christina S. Birkel (Phoenix), John Jamboretz (Phoenix) and Andreas Reitz (Tempe, Ariz.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A Raman spectroscopy probe includes a lens tube and an objective lens positioned in the lens tube. The lens tube and the objective lens are composed of microwave transparent materials.
