ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,312,366, issued on May 27, was assigned to Arizona Board of Regents on behalf of Arizona State University (Scottsdale, Ariz.).

"Tetradentate and octahedral metal complexes containing naphthyridinocarbazole and its analogues" was invented by Jian Li (Tempe, Ariz.) and Guijie Li (Hangzhou Zhejiang, China).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Tetradentate and octahedral metal complexes suitable for use as phosphorescent or delayed fluorescent and phosphorescent emitters in display and lighting applications."

The patent was filed on Sept. 16, 2022, under Application No. 17/932,705.
