ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,257,302, issued on March 25, was assigned to Arizona Board of Regents on Behalf of Arizona State University (Scottsdale, Ariz.).
"Universal vaccine platform" was invented by Hugh Mason (Phoenix), Andrew Diamos (Tempe, Ariz.), Mary Pardhe (Phoenix) and Brandon Favre (Los Gatos, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure relates to vaccination compositions, for example, against human papillomavirus, Zika virus, and flu virus. The disclosure also relates to vectors for producing the virus-like particles and immune complex platforms of the vaccination compositions."
