ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,351,817, issued on July 8, was assigned to Arizona Board of Regents on Behalf of Arizona State University (Tempe, Ariz.).

"Systems and methods for genetic engineering of a polyploid organism" was invented by David Nielsen (Tempe, Ariz.) and Christopher Jones (Tempe, Ariz.).
