ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,427,134, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to AMARIN PHARMACEUTICALS IRELAND Ltd. (Dublin).
"Methods of reducing the risk of cardiovascular events in a subject with atrial fibrillation and/or atrial flutter" was invented by Paresh Soni (Mystic, Conn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In various embodiments, the present disclosure provides methods reducing the risk of cardiovascular events in a subject on statin therapy and having atrial fibrillation and/or flutter by administering to the subject a pharmaceutical composition comprising about 1 g to about 4 g of eicosapentaenoic acid ethyl ester or a derivative thereof."
