ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,372,069, issued on July 29, was assigned to AFFIN AS (Notodden, Norway).

"Method for adapting an oil and gas production well of a depleted oil and gas reservoir into a geothermal energy recovery system and the resulting system" was invented by Helge Brandsaeter (Hamresanden, Norway) and Harald Furu (Oslo, Norway).
