According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An oral appliance may include a mouthpiece configured to be positioned in an oral cavity of a user and an electronic assembly coupled to the mouthpiece. The electronic assembly may include an oxygen sensor oriented toward soft tissue of the user's mouth to determine an oxygen saturation level of the user. The electronic assembly may be positioned within an appendage extending away from a wall of the mouthpiece."
