WASHINGTON, Dec. 12 -- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Public Hearing for Corporate Average Fuel Economy Standards: The Safer Affordable Fuel-Efficient (SAFE) Vehicle Rule III for Model Years 2022 to 2031 Passenger Cars and Light Trucks.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Dec. 12 by Jonathan Morrison, Administrator.
