WASHINGTON, May 30 -- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard; No. 216; Roof Crush Resistance, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 216a; Roof Crush Resistance; Upgraded Standard.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on May 30 by Peter Simshauser, Chief Counsel.
