WASHINGTON, Jan. 29 -- Environmental Protection Agency has issued a rule called: Air Plan Approval and Air Quality Designation; KY; Redesignation of the Kentucky Portion of the Louisville, KY-IN 2015 8-Hour Ozone Nonattainment Area to Attainment.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on Jan. 29 by Kevin McOmber, Regional Administrator, Region 4.
Summary: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is denying the request to redesignate the Kentucky portion of the Louisville, Kentucky-Indiana, 2015 8-hour ozone nonattainment area (hereinafter referred to as the "Louisville, KY-IN Area" or "Area") to attainment for the 2015 8-hour ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS or standards).
