U.S. Rep. Harold "Hal" Rogers (KY-05) secured $4 million in federal funding for water improvements in Harlan County. The funding was part of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Bill signed into law by President Trump on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
"We want to eliminate water outages and ensure our families, schools and businesses can count on clean running water every time they turn on the faucet. As water systems age and erode, our communities experience more line breaks and water outages that require more than a temporary fix.
