WASHINGTON, Dec. 19 -- Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has issued a proposed rule called: Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Hospital Condition of Participation: Prohibiting Sex-Rejecting Procedures for Children.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Dec. 19 by Robert F. Kennedy, Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services.

Summary: This proposed rule would revise the requirements that Medicare and Medicaid certified hospitals must meet to participate in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
