WASHINGTON, July 17 -- Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has issued a proposed rule called: Medicare and Medicaid Programs: Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment and Ambulatory Surgical Center Payment Systems; Quality Reporting Programs; Overall Hospital Quality Star Ratings; and Hospital Price Transparency.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on July 17 by Robert F. Kennedy, Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services.
