ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO TAX AND TRADE BUREAU ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: ALCOHOL FACTS STATEMENTS IN THE LABELING OF WINES, DISTILLED SPIRITS, AND MALT BEVERAGES; AND MAJOR FOOD ALLERGEN LABELING FOR WINES, DISTILLED SPIRITS, AND MALT BEVERAGES; COMMENT PERIOD EXTENSION

WASHINGTON, April 7 -- Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau has issued a proposed rule called: Alcohol Facts Statements in the Labeling of Wines, Distilled Spirits, and Malt Beverages; and Major Food Allergen Labeling for Wines, Distilled Spirits, and Malt Beverages; Comment Period Extension.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on April 7 by Mary G. Ryan, Administrator.
