US, Sept. 30 -- Air Serbia commenced its inaugural flight connecting Belgrade with Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province in southern China, on Monday.
Upon its arrival at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, flight JU988 was honored with a water arch ceremony, a prestigious form of welcome in civil aviation.
The airline intends to operate round-trip flights between Belgrade and Guangzhou twice a week, specifically on Mondays and Fridays.
On September 25, China Southern Airlines also initiated a direct air service between Guangzhou and Belgrade.
