India, Feb. 7 -- A portion of a SEPTA train was consumed by fire on its Wilmington-Newark Reiongal Rail route in Philadelphias on Thursday night.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) issued a statement today saying they are sending a team out to Ridley Park to investigate.

The incident occurred not far from the Cum Lynne Stations at approximately 6:00 pm yesterday evening. There were 6 cars on the route carrying approximately 350 people. All people were safely evacuated with no injuries reported.

Passenger accounts indicate that the smell of sulfuric smoke was noticed and became more intense. The train was stopped and everyone was moved to the back of the train before it resumed traveling.
