Two killed, one hurt in cracker unit blastMISHAP TN CRACKER UNIT BLASTChennai, Apr 25 (UNI) Two employees were killed and one sustained injuries in a blast at a cracker manufcturing unitnear Cumbum in southern Theni district of Tamil Nadu today.The blast occurred at Lakshmi cracker manufacturing unit, which had stopped making fire crackers during the last few days and was used as godown to store the chemicals used for making crackers.The unit was shut for the last days in view of the elections and holiday declared for its workers.When three employees opened in today morning as usual, the blast occurred suddenly killing two of its employyes Deenadayalan and Surya on the spot.Police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to government hospital for post mortem. The other employee sustained injuries and was admitted to hospital for treatment.Police have registered a case and are investigating to ascertain the cause of the blast.UNI GV 1836चेन्नई, 25 अप्रैल (वार्ता) तमिलनाडु के दक्षिणी थेनी जिले के कुंबम के पास स्थित एक पटाखा निर्माण कारखाने में शनिवार को हुए विस्फोट में दो कर्मचारियों की मौत हो गयी और एक घायल हो गया।
यह विस्फोट पिछले कुछ समय से बंद पड़े लक्ष्मी पटाखा निर्माण कारखाने में हुआ। वर्तमान में इसका इस्तेमाल पटाखे बनाने में इस्तेमाल होने वाले रसायनों के भंडारण के लिए गोदाम के रूप में किया जा रहा था।
चुनावों के मद्देनजर और कर्मचारियों के लिए घोषित अवकाश के कारण पिछले कुछ दिनों से कारखाना बंद था।
आज सुबह जब तीन कर्मचारियों ने हमेशा की तरह कारखाना खोला, तो अचानक विस्फोट हो गया, जिसमें दीनदयालन और सूर्या की मौके पर ही मौत हो गयी।
पुलिस और अग्निशमन कर्मी मौके पर पहुंचे और शवों को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए सरकारी अस्पताल ले गये। घायल कर्मचारी को इलाज के लिए अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया।
