Chennai, Jan. 16 -- The traditional Jallikattu event, taming of bulls,asociated with the annual Pongal festivites in southern Tamil Naduwas held at the Manjamalai Riverbed at Palamedu in Madurai districtand at Suriyur village in Trichy district of Tamil Nadu on Friday withthe winner decided by a draw of lots after two tamers were tied for thetitle taming 16 bulls each.
This is the second of three major Jallikattu events in Madurai and thefirst one was held at Avuniapuram yesterday and the last one wouldbe the Blue Riband event, the World famous Alanganallur Jallikattualso in Madurai tomorrow.
