Sangrur, Jan. 17 -- Sangrur Police has successfully arrested a young man who had allegedly murdered a girl in Canada last October and fled to India after nearly three months.
Sharing this information, SSP Sangrur Sartaj Singh Chahal said that on October 20, 2025, a girl from Sangrur was murdered in Canada, a case which has now been solved by Sangrur Police.
Providing further details, SSP Chahal stated that Inderjit Singh, son of Channan Singh, resident Sangrur, submitted an application stating that both of his daughters, Gursimran Kaur and Amanpreet Kaur, were living in Canada. Amanpreet Kaur was residing in a rented accommodation in East York, Toronto, and was working as a Personal Support Worker in a hospital.
