Chandigarh, Jan. 23 -- At least 10 Indian Army personnel lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district while on duty, officials said on Friday. Several other soldiers sustained serious injuries after an Army vehicle plunged into a deep gorge in a mountainous area.
The accident occurred when the Army vehicle was moving from Bhaderwah towards Khani Top. Due to difficult terrain and adverse conditions, the vehicle reportedly lost control and fell nearly 200 feet into a ravine. Rescue operations were launched immediately, and the injured were shifted to nearby medical facilities.
