Patna, July 20 -- On the occasion of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's son Nishant Kumar's 44th birthday today, senior leaders and workers of the Janata Dal (United) renewed their demand for Nishant Kumar to enter active politics and take the party's leadership forward.

Former Union Minister and Rashtriya Lok Mocha (RLM) Chief Upendra Kushwaha also joined them and said that Nishant is the new hope of JD(U).

He also advised Nitish Kumar to continue leading the government but hand over the party's leadership to Nishant.

The RLM chief asserted that any delay could prove damaging for the JD(U) - possibly a loss that may never be compensated.
