Lucknow, Jan. 19 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the death of software engineer Yuvraj Mehta in Noida, ordering a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct a fair, transparent, and time-bound probe into the incident.

The SIT comprises the Divisional Commissioner of Meerut, Additional Director General (ADG) of Meerut Zone, and the Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD). The team, headed by ADG Meerut Zone, has been directed to submit a detailed report to the state government within five days.

The 27-year-old software engineer died after his car plunged into a water-filled pit at a construction site in Sector 150 in the early hours of January 17.
