Sanaa, Dec. 30 -- The head of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), backed by the Saudi-led coalition, has ordered all UAE forces to leave Yemeni territory within 24 hours.
In a televised address, Rashad al-Alimi framed the move as a matter of sovereignty and renewed his praise for Saudi Arabia and the coalition for their support.
He also canceled the joint defense agreement with the UAE, announced a 72-hour air, land, and sea blockade, and declared a state of emergency for 90 days.
