Bengaluru, Feb. 11 -- In a dramatic political broadside, expelled BJP leader Basanagouda Patil Yatnal on Wednesday claimed that Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar's visit to Delhi signals brewing instability within the Congress and could mark the beginning of the fall of the Karnataka government.
Positioning himself at the centre of the unfolding power narrative, Yatnal asserted that the Congress government would comfortably complete its five-year term under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, but warned that any move to replace him with Shivakumar would trigger its collapse.
"If Siddaramaiah stays, the government will last five years. But if he is removed, a government under D K Shivakumar will not survive," Yatnal told reporters.
