Ranchi, March 13 -- Sanjay Sarraf, state spokesperson of the Jharkhand Parents Association and vice-president of Hindi Sahitya Bharati, said that 'World Consumer Rights Day' is observed globally on March 15 every year to create awareness among consumers about their rights and protect them from exploitation.

He said the observance of the day aims to promote transparency and accountability in the marketplace and to encourage consumers to become aware, empowered and responsible.
