Pune, Aug. 15 -- Stree Aadhaar Kendra, a social organisation working on women's issues in Maharashtra since 1984, will organise the distribution of ID cards to members of the Women's Vigilance Committee and women safety volunteers to enable them to work alongside police to ensure the safety of women, girls, and children, during the festive season
The event will take place on August 18 at the Patrakar Bhavan, Navi Peth, Pune.
As part of its annual initiative during Ganesh Utsav and Navratri, the organisation conducted Women Safety Volunteer Training on August 2 and 11 to prevent crimes in crowded public spaces, said a release today.
