Hyderabad, Sept. 12 -- Telangana Labour and Mines Minister Dr Vivek Venkataswamy emphasised the need to empower women in business and entrepreneurship, stating that their participation is essential for boosting the country's GDP.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the "CII Indian Women Uplift - Voice for Change" program held at Tech Mahindra, Hi-Tech City, today.
The Minister lauded CII's efforts in promoting women entrepreneurs and highlighted the state government's initiatives through the Indra Mahila Shakti scheme.
He urged women to step forward in the business sector, noting that their courage and multitasking abilities make them natural leaders.
