Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 7 -- The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) has officially launched the Women's Cricket League (WCL) in a grand ceremony at the Greenfield Sports Hub, Kariavattom, marking a new chapter for women's cricket in the State.
The professional league, scheduled to begin next season, was unveiled in a festive atmosphere that featured a musical evening and the felicitation of prominent women achievers.
Those honoured included Indian cricketers Minnu Mani, Sajana Sajeevan, Asha Sobhana, and Arundhati Reddy, along with U-19 World Cup winner Joshitha V.J. and Lieutenant Commander Dilna K. of the Indian Navy.
