Hyderabad, April 10 -- In a major push for women's empowerment, the Telangana government is strengthening brick manufacturing units run by women's self-help groups, creating livelihood opportunities while supporting housing construction initiatives.

A statewide survey by SERP identified 736 such units, many of which are currently underutilised, producing only 300 to 1,000 bricks per day against a potential capacity of up to 2,500 bricks. Efforts are underway to enhance production capacity through financial assistance, training, and improved infrastructure.
