Patna, Nov. 21 -- The roads leading to Patna's historic Gandhi Maidan on Thursday witnessed an impressive display of women's strength as they marched enthusiastically in large groups to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Their overwhelming participation once again surpassed that of men, reflecting strong public support.

Long queues of women were seen moving along the road. Following traffic restrictions and tight security, they were walking with excitement.

Chanchal, who had travelled from Gaya, said Nitish Kumar had empowered women by giving them a voice, bringing them out of their homes, creating employment opportunities and ensuring dignity in society.
