Kolkata, March 7 -- Women in agriculture are leading a transformation in India's rural economy, a published study report said on Friday.

The report was prepared by Arya.ag, which claims itself to be India's largest integrated grain commerce platform. The report said the number of women-led Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) has grown by 128 percent in the last two years within the platform.

"Today, over 50,000 women are directly engaged in these FPOs, strengthening rural economies through collective enterprise. This expansion is creating new opportunities for financial independence, market access, and leadership in agribusiness," the report said.
