Ranchi, Jan. 24 -- A woman was allegedly shot dead by her husband following a domestic dispute in the Doranda police station area of Ranchi today, triggering panic in the locality.
The incident took place in the Manitola area, after which the accused husband fled the scene. Police have launched an investigation and a search operation to arrest him.
According to local residents, the couple had been engaged in frequent arguments over the past few days. Today, the dispute escalated into a violent confrontation, during which the husband allegedly opened fire on his wife in a fit of rage. The woman sustained a gunshot injury and died on the spot.
