Srinagar, May 9 -- As multiple attacks on Indian territory by Pakistan Armed Forces during the last night were "effectively repulsed and a befitting reply was given," a woman was killed and four others injured in cross-border shelling in the Uri sector of Baramulla district.

Officials said last night Pakistan intensified artillery fire across the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir in which nearly 50 structures were damaged in Baramulla and Kupwara districts.

The intense cross border shelling erupted last evening moments after Pakistan escalated the skirmish by attacking Jammu with drones and missiles.
