Lalitpur (UP), Dec. 6 -- An elderly woman, who had come to appear in the district court of Lalitpur in Uttar Pradesh today on the charge of murder, consumed a poisonous substance and died during treatment, police sources said.
Police sources said that in the year 2023, Kishan was beaten to death with sticks in Nehru Nagar locality under Kotwali Sadar, in which half a dozen accused including Gendabai (60) were sent to jail. "The woman had come out of jail on bail," they said.
Police said that before appearing in the district court today, she consumed a poisonous substance in the court premises, due to which her condition deteriorated.
