Bengaluru, Jan. 12 -- Bharati Shetty, a member of the Karnataka Legislative Council, has criticized the state government for allegedly protecting systems that allow law and order to deteriorate, citing incidents including crimes against women such as rape, harassment, abduction, and drug-related offences.
Speaking to the media here o Monday, she alleged that laws are being misused to file cases against BJP workers and have them arrested, while Congress members who commit offences are left scot free.
She cited an example from Hubballi, where murder suspects were reportedly not arrested or charged, while in a separate incident in Hubballi, when a man tried to abduct a woman, 40 police personnel arrested the victim's relatives instead. She c...
