Shimla, Feb. 16 -- Himachal Pradesh has recorded an overall deficit in winter rainfall and snowfall during the ongoing season, with cumulative precipitation from January 1 to February 16 remaining below normal across most districts.
According to the latest seasonal rainfall data, the State received 101.9 mm of rainfall against the normal of 139.2 mm, registering a 27 per cent deficit during the winter period so far.
Among major districts, Kinnaur recorded 67.1 mm rainfall against the normal 162.2 mm, reflecting a sharp 59 per cent deficit, while Chamba reported 109.4 mm against 198.9 mm, marking a 45 per cent shortfall.
