Mumbai, Feb. 13 -- Food and Drug Administration Minister Narhari Zirwal has stated that he will resign if his personal involvement in a case of alleged bribe taking is proven.
He termed the incident involving an alleged bribe in connection with the suspension of a medical store licence as "highly inappropriate" and assured that no one involved will be shielded.
The controversy erupted after a clerk from Zirwal's office was caught red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 35,000 from the owner of a medical store in Latur, whose licence had been cancelled.
