Kanpur, Sept. 18 -- Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel today said that under the new education policy, the target has been set to increase the number of students receiving higher education to 50 per cent by 2030.

Addressing the 40th convocation of Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur, the Governor said, "To achieve this goal, parents, village heads, teachers, officials and all sections of society will have to work together."Presiding over the convocation, the Chancellor conferred a total of 1,02,536 degrees to students, including 56,993 girls and 45,543 boys.
