Lucknow, Jan. 14 -- The intense cold wave conditions continue to create havoc for the people, particularly in western Uttar Pradesh, where the minimum temperature has dipped to around 2 degrees Celsius.
Muzaffarnagar recorded a minimum temperature of 2.1 degrees Celsius, making it the coldest district in the state on Tuesday. Meerut followed closely behind with a temperature of 2.9 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, after the passage of the Western Disturbance, the wind direction has changed again to northwesterly direction.
