Kolkata, April 23 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Nandigram, Suvendu Adhikari, cast his vote at a polling station in Nandigram and said that Mamata Banerjee and the Trinamool Congress have no chance of winning the elections this time.

The first phase of the West Bengal elections, covering 152 constituencies, is underway on Thursday.

Referring to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, Adhikari said that with the removal of dead and fake voters, the TMC has no chance of returning to power.

"They will lose. This time we will form the government," Adhikari said.
