Washington, May 4 -- The US Army will hold a large-scale military parade on the streets of the US capital of Washington, DC, on June 14 to celebrate its 250th anniversary, with 6,600 soldiers, 50 aircraft and 150 ground vehicles taking part, according to a published statement.
"Parade planning is actively underway, and we anticipate approximately 150 vehicles, 50 aircraft, and 6,600 Soldiers to highlight the Army's 250 years of service to the nation," the US Army said.
In addition, the US military plans to hold demonstrations of military equipment and hardware. It is noted that other events are planned throughout the day, including a military festival on the National Mall in downtown Washington.
