Canberra, April 7 -- Former Australia opener David Warner has been charged with mid-range drink driving following an incident in Sydney's eastern suburbs over the weekend.
According to a report in news.com.au, the 39-year-old had stopped and parked his vehicle just before reaching the testing checkpoint. However, New South Wales Police officers approached his car and conducted a breath analysis, which confirmed that he was over the legal alcohol limit.
Warner, who was identified as the driver, underwent a roadside breath test which returned a positive result. He was then taken into custody and transported to Maroubra Police Station, where a second breath analysis allegedly recorded a reading of 0.104, placing him in the mid-range prescrib...
