Waqf Bill aims to polarise and grab land of minority communities: Karnataka Congress
Bengaluru, April 7 -- Senior Congress leaders Syed Naseer Hussain and Priyank Kharge on Monday launched a scathing attack on the Centre over the recently passed bill concerning Waqf properties, alleging that the move is aimed at "communal polarisation" and the "systematic targeting" of minority communities in order to seize their properties.
Rajya Sabha MP Hussain said the legislation had "exposed the true intentions" of the BJP-led government, which he claimed seeks to "seize the lands of religious institutions belonging to a particular community."
