Hyderabad, Dec. 8 -- A walkathon on diabetic foot care was organised in the city today by The Foot Doctor Hospital, drawing attention to the rising threat of foot complications among diabetics.
Former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the event, along with Tollywood actor Sushant, KIMS Hospitals CMD Dr Bollineni Bhaskar Rao and Delhi Public School Chairman Ramesh Gorantla.
Speaking at the event, Venkaiah Naidu said diabetes often goes undetected in its early stages, leading to delayed treatment and serious complications. He stressed that diabetics must pay special attention to their eyes and feet and seek timely medical help for any ulcers or injuries, warning that neglect often results in amputation.
