Los Angeles, Jan. 12 -- Wagner Moura has made history at the Golden Globe Awards by becoming the first Brazilian actor to win Best Actor in a Drama Film. The actor received the honor on Sunday night for his role in The Secret Agent during the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

Moura's win marks a milestone for Brazilian cinema, as no performer from the country had previously won in this category. While accepting the award, Moura reflected on the film's themes of memory and generational trauma.
