Kolkata, March 4 -- Despite a recent directive from the Supreme Court of India ordering the clearance of pending dearness allowance (DA) dues, the West Bengal government has yet to take effective action, prompting a fresh protest call by the Sangrami Joutha Mancha, a platform of state government employees.

The organisation announced on Wednesday that it will observe a 'Bondh Mobarak' programme across all state government offices on March 13.

Members of the organisation will report to offices but refrain from performing any official duties to press their demand for payment of pending DA.
