Siliguri, March 23 -- Ahead of Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee's visit to North Bengal, the party's heavyweight candidate for the Siliguri Assembly constituency, Goutam Deb, found himself in an embarrassing situation on Monday morning when a group of women voters confronted him over the lack of basic civic amenities during his campaign.
Banerjee is scheduled to address a programme at Chalsa in the Dooars on March 24, followed by a visit to Maynaguri in Jalpaiguri district the same day. She will then travel to Siliguri on March 25 to attend three events before leaving for Andal on March 26.
