Nagpur, Dec. 15 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today said that a visit to Nagpur's Smriti Mandir instills a deep sense of patriotism and encourages people to dedicate themselves to the service of society, especially as the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) marks its 100th year.

Shinde noted that Nagpur holds special significance as the birthplace of the RSS, which was established a century ago by Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar.

He also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's long-standing association with the organisation, describing it as a source of inspiration.
