Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), July 1 -- Adani Gangavaram Port on Tuesday said it has set a new record in handling of coastal cargo by loading 61,317 MTs within 24 hours in MV Star Nasia for TANGEDCO.

The Port's earlier record stood at 57,950 MTs, which was achieved in January 2025.

This achievement underscores the port's commitment to operational excellence and efficient cargo handling.

The record-breaking cargo handling was made possible through the strategic utilization of Mobile Harbour Cranes, E-GSCs, Railway Infra and Mechanized Yards to ensure high productivity, the Port conveyed in a release.
