Varanasi, Jan. 29 -- A violent clash broke out between students of two hostels at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) today, leading to alleged stone-pelting and assault.
A postgraduate student, Piyush Tiwari, sustained serious head injuries in the incident and was referred to the Trauma Centre for treatment.
According to allegations, expelled students Darshit Pandey, Raunak Mishra, Ankit Pal and Vishwajeet Yadav assaulted Piyush Tiwari near the gate of Ruiya Hostel. Following the attack, panic and chaos spread across the hostel premises.
